CDG Capital confirms its positioning as a global institutional asset manager, responsible and committed.
The rating agency Fitch Ratings has just awarded CDG Capital the rating of "Excellent (mar) with stable outlook" for the mandated management of its institutional funds.
Fitch justifies this rating with the "extreme robustness" of CDG Capital's mandate management investment process, coupled with "extremely sound" risk management. The agency also makes its mark on the quality of the management team, "one of the most experienced in Morocco."
On October 24, Casablanca hosted the 2nd edition of the Investment Management Forum dedicated to new investment solutions facing the challenges of institutional management.
The event highlighted the benefits of active portfolio management this year. At the podium, Ouafae Mriouah, General Manager of CDG CAPITAL GESTION and DGA of CDG Capital in charge of the Investment Management division, was clear: "The management market is not yet fully exploiting its diversification potential. Managers need to move beyond traditional products and investment strategies. " "The ongoing efficiency of asset management is our common obsession," said CDG Capital CEO Hamid Tawfiki: "We need to create investment instruments that meet the needs of clients, starting from principle that we act with them rather than for them. "
The Investment Management Forum is the initiative of CDG Capital and CDG CAPITAL GESTION dedicated to new investment solutions facing the challenge of institutional management.
The LDI approach (Liability Driven Investing) was the topic chosen for the first edition of the Forum launched in November 2017. The LDI financial management approach analyzes and models the client's liabilities to produce a portfolio structure adapted to his situation and his goals. As explained at the forum, the LDI approach defines a management objective related to the level of coverage of the fund's liabilities by its current and future resources. This strategy applies to pension funds as well as to insurance companies, mutuals and institutional funds. It is also attracting increasing interest from natural persons who are eager to manage their long-term savings by anticipating their needs.
During the Forum, CDG Capital's Managing Director, Hamid Tawfiki, included the LDI approach in the merchant bank's overall desire to act as a responsible player in the market.
